#ScoutFromHome

Week 1

During this challenging time of change we want to help not just our youth members but all young people to have access to some Scouting. In order to achieve this we have created a few ways for young people to do some scouting every day of the week alongside the Merseyside Scouts #CRE8Challenge.  This week our Young People have been very busy! It is so encouraging to see so many of our Young People continuing Scouting from their homes.

We asked our young People to make a lego scene that represents scouting.. Here is what they came up with…

Joseph from the 48th Cubs chose Water Fun Day at the Marine lake. Featuring a kayak, and the Waterside Lodge safety boat….

Vincent from Southport (age 6) made a beavers camp including tent, camp fire, tree and waterfall….

Archie from the 58th Southport enjoyed making his camp scene….

Euan from the 58th Beavers with his camp at Bibbys farm…

Euan’s sister Erin (5) with her tent, fire and important water bucket…

Here’s Jayden from 19th Scouts Lego scene. It’s a campfire with marshmallow toasting and the Scout Hut…

Dominic from the 62nd Cubs built an entire Scout hut…. an extremely accurate representation of his Scout Hut. – Very Impressive!!!! ….

The 1st Lockhart Scouts held their first Online Scout Meeting via a video conference…

They had a go at various virtual activities ranging from online meetings to scavenger hunts to sending in pictures / poems to send to care homes.

We also asked our scouts to produce a Comic strip showing their favourite scouting activities…

This is Jayden’s from 19th Scouts. Making pancakes …
Vincent created his comic strip on minecraft rather than drawing it! – amazing…

The 1st Panthers Cubs held an online scavenger hunt. Cubs had to find household items. Here’s what they found…

One of our members began the Science Badge, completing the Tornado in a bottle activity…

Oliver from 1st Maple Beavers has been practicing sign language for his Musicians Badge. Awesome job Oliver! 🎶…

If we have missed any creations out, please email the Sefton North Media team or message us on Facebook
